Thanks for the nostalgic ride.

Danny, have you seen the documentary "The Boys" about the Sherman bros. who wrote the music/lyrics for several well-known Disney shows, including "Mary Poppins"? It's a wonderful film, and if given the chance, do watch it.

Thanks for this trip down memory lane. I was on the Monsanto ride once, in the late sixties, I'm guessing, and it broke down just as we were tilted back with the giant eye at the top of the microscope glaring down at us. We had to wait there for at least an hour with the big blue eye of death staring, unblinking.

In more than 35 years of visits to Southern California, I have never been tempted to visit Disney Land, although I did go to the more sedate Knotts Berry farm once in the late '70s because I had a friend who worked there tending mules (!!). As a family based in the East, we did make two trips to the newly opened Disney World in Florida before my father's 1976 death. I recall that Small World village more than anything, plus the Haunted House and some space ride roller coaster that injured my dad's neck. Now you just reminded me that our school choir sang that Small World song for our parents one year back then and it is stuck in my head now. No thanks for that, Danny! Ha. Ha.
