I didn't realize how much I miss Divine till I saw this. What a great compilation you've got augmenting your posting.

Dear Danny,
I never got the SCTV brand of humor.
Wishing you and Charlie and Leah and Kendall a happy holiday season and a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2011.
Thanks for your always intelligent and entertaining blog.

Don't know if you get the ABC Family channel or not, but all day this past Sunday they ran all Rankin-Bass Christmas specials. They may run them again. If I see they are I will be sure to hit you with a comment.

"It's the season for giving, and I'm just the girl to give it to." That Dusty Towne skit is hilarious. I'm kinda wanting Marcie Odette though. :-)

Please. I eat that, too.

She's a talent - every one of them on SCTV were, some had the stars shine upon them more than others though.

To see a human take on the original Joey being spoofed, take a look and listen to this, by the amazing Jill Sobule:

Glad you posted the SCTV clips. I forgot how funny they all were. What an amazing cast.
I had the good fortune to see Andrea Martin on Broadway in Oklahoma a few years ago and little did I know that Martin (who I loved as Edith Prickly) had such a great voice.
As always, thanks for the great posts!
