Oh God, oh Danny - your whole post is once again knocking me off my feet (can't wait for the interview) but the last paragraph - WELL! Now I am flat on my back, holding my sides, laughing and gasping.

Love that show. I think that Fade to White + no previews = Nate's dead. Or it's a clever trick to make you think so...

Hubby tried to convince me that they were plotting to kill off the entire cast. He was sure of it!

It's not even gone yet and I'm already missing it.

Danny, is there a sound for kvelling? Can you hear it all the way from Chicago? Thanks!

jill soloway has given us THE best episodes 6ft under in my gigantic fan opinion. thank god her book is coming out, perhaps it will fill part of the void Six Feet Under is going to leave.

I just wish that there was a way we can make six feet under stay, I miss the show and it is not yet off the air.... how .... how....can we ask for more six feet under

Let me tell you a little story about the beginnngs of Six Feet Under. When I met my now husband in 2000, he was leaving to shoot a movie called Funk Parlour in CT about two brothers and a sister who inherit a funeral parlour (sound familar?) When 6Feet came out that fall, one of the first episodes had an entire scene lifted out of the FP script. The writer/director went up against HBO but alas she had merely registered her script with WGA (which is not, and has never been copyright protection). Her battle with them lasted 4 years and finally last fall they settled and she was "allowed" to finish her movie. Unfortunately, it will probably never come out because distributors will say she is copying Six Feet Under and will poopoo her concept. Pretty f*&#ing typical Hollywood.

Oh, you're making me wish I had cable. I was never privileged enough to have HBO so I have never seen this show but have heard many good things about it. I will have to at least rent it on DVD now and I am sure I will love it!

What does one have to do to convert to Judaism?

Soloway is a foul-mouthed, frustrated feminist who fathered a child with a tiny liberal bald guy. End of story.
