I’m leaving 80-degree sunny California today for frigid Maine where the wind chill is currently 12 below zero. New England is expecting a huge blizzard tonight just when I arrive. Help! I know I grew up in Chicago so I should be able to deal with real winter weather but after 18 years in California I’ve lost the ability to regulate my internal body temperature. I land in Boston and then have to drive up to Maine where I’m meeting with the Heinemann folks for several days. Always nice to see them, but there was no need to call in this “noreaster” just for my benefit. Be careful what you wish for—I was hoping to see a little snow this year. Oh well, if I’m trapped in the blizzard maybe I can find a satellite feed and reach the world through my blog. Talk to you soon (I hope) from the tundra…
