I am so happy to read your latest blog, having much difficulty to comment with this iPad and lousy Internet in a nursing home setting. It keeps erasing my comments & I have to rewrite everything. So happy that you will continue your blogs. I never find the reports of your daily travels with Charlie boring, especially for a New Yorker who has never been to southern Ca.. It inspires me to think of starting a blog myself but an afraid it will really be boring! Life can be so strange, one never knows from one day to the next, but with family, and friends, we can face everything. Glad Charlie's walking has improved...he comes from strong stock!

Charlie is the most amazing kid. This on going story has touched me so deeply. As the mother of 3 wonderful adult children I am grateful every day for my kids and for the years I spent raising them. I admire and respect you for your love and devotion to this beautiful kid, but I also find myself rooting and loving him just for himself! Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us.

That's some cute reading!

oy, KVELLING over this video. he is so adorable, animated, charming, a preschool teacher's dream kiddo! so happy he is doing well and "see you in a year" IS totally awesome! sending you all loads of love :)

Your son is so utterly charming, Danny. I'm so glad to read all of your happy news!

I love seeing the two of you together. It's been a long time since I was here- Charlie is such a lovely chap! I think about families with chronically ill children often. Our baby was hospitalized with RSV at 1 month old, for 9 long days, almost ventilated-but not- and that tiny glimpse into that kind of life altered me.

Loved this! Oh yes, please keeping blogging. You're my inspiration.

The Reading Aloud video is beyond awesome!!!! Loved it, loved it, loved it!
Hahahaha about the French and personal hygiene! I'm French and I shower daily (of course, I have lived in the U.S. for 37 years...). But I can agree with you that, back in 1970, the Paris Metro was a bit smelly.
